I received my bachelor's degree in Communication Arts from Georgia Southern University and my master's degree in Professional Counseling from the University of West Georgia. After a gratifying career in corporate marketing, I utilized my psychology background and counselor training to support high school students as a school counselor.
While working as a group practice therapist, I utilized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) - a highly effective trauma-focused therapy, and other noted therapeutic approaches to help clients heal from life challenges.
As an independent practitioner, I take a holistic, personalized approach to therapy, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of my clients. My focus areas include stress management, parenting support, teen issues, relationship issues, conflict resolution, and work and career challenges.
Currently a doctoral candidate in the Counselor Education and Supervision PhD program at Regent University, I am deeply invested in ongoing professional growth and I’m passionate about advancing the field of counseling. Holding a Master’s in Education (M.Ed.), I am committed to integrating research, theory, and practice to help clients achieve emotional well-being and lasting positive change.
Outside the therapy room, I enjoy traveling the world, spending quality time with my husband, children, grandchildren, family, and friends, and exploring the arts, from music and movies to theater and dance. A fan of home decor, I also enjoy getting inspiration from HGTV for creating inviting and thoughtful spaces.
